I hope that this tragedy wakes up city and state officals to create affordable housing in the Bay Area. As an artist I could have been in the same situation as the ones who died in this fire. You will be surprised how many of us live couch to couch, in our cars, or in dangerous buildings such as the Ghost Ship. With slumlords who don’t care about ethics or safety.

Remember Ghost Ship, remember the importance of our artists and that all people of all incomes should have safe housing.
